If so, you must complete an application for free or reduced price lunches in order to receive benefits. You can get an application at the front desk of your school, turn it in there and it will be processed. You will receive a letter in the mail advising you of your family's eligibility shortly after. If you do not receive a letter advising you of your eligibility, please email lunch@hightechhigh.org.

|
Where can I get an application for the free or reduced lunch program? |
You can get an application at your school's front desk.Or possibly apply online. Find links on the HTH Lunch website. |
|
What is the lunch that is served at High Tech High schools? |
Lunch will be provided by Revolution foods through January 29th. After that, lunch for each village will be provided by the local school district for that village:
Point Loma: San Diego Unified
Chula Vista: Sweetwater Union or South Bay Unified
North County: San Marcos Unified |
|
How can I place an order for school lunch? |
We do not currently have the capability to pre-order lunches. Lunches will be available to all interested students on a first come, first served basis. |
What does my child have to do to get lunch on the first day of school
or for the first time? |
Every enrolled student at an HTH school is given a lunch account. If
your child starts mid-year, it may take a few days for them to get
into our system, but they can still eat lunch. All that students need
to do on the first day they eat lunch is to join the lunch line and
take a lunch. When they reach the cashier, they need to state their
first and last name or student lunch pin number, which the cashier
will use to enter their meal. Then, the student can either put their
lunch on their pre-paid account or pay with cash in the line. |
|
What options are there for students with allergies or special dietary needs? |
Our new program has various options for students with different needs and tastes. There are no special meals for students with dietary restrictions, but there is usually an option available that will meet their needs. |
|
How do I pay for lunches? |
Each Village has its own payment methods:
POINT LOMA Lunch Payment
Online Payment Through Mealtime
Parents may pre-pay for lunches through the MealTime Online Parent Payment Web site MyMealTime.com. This site allows parents to make credit card deposits, view their online deposit history, and view their student's transaction history.
Downloadable PDF instructions for:
Lunch payments through Mealtime Online
Paying with a Check or Cash
Parents may send payment via check made out to High Tech High to:
HTH Lunch Program
2861 Womble Road
San Diego, CA 92106
Paying with Cash in the Lunch Line
Students may pay with cash in the lunch line.
CHULA VISTA Lunch Payment
Students can pay with cash or check in the lunch line. We will be transferring to a new system and positive balances in student accounts will transfer and be available for students to purchase lunches through the new program.
NORTH COUNTY Lunch Payment
All students will have an account assigned to them that is available for prepayments.
Cash can be used on the lunch line
Prepayments can be given to the front desk (with student's name, ID and amount enclosed), received on the lunch line or done online via NutriKids (www.mynitrikids.com)
A student who does not have any money on his or her account or cash for their lunch can receive a one day charge to their account. The student must repay this charge on their account before receiving any additional charges to the account.
Funds currently in student MealTime accounts will be transferred to NutriKids.
If you forgot your password or need assistance with NutriKids, Rose Howell is available at rose.howell@smusd.org or 760-752-1253. Please only contact regarding North County Schools.

Where can I find my student's lunch pin? |
Your child's lunch pin is the same as their student ID number. It should be a 4-digit number and it appears on the student's schedule and when you login to PowerSchool. |
