Plan a Campus Visit
A key goal of High Tech High is to promote the development of innovative schools by disseminating HTH practices. We encourage educators and other interested parties to visit our schools and see HTH teaching and learning firsthand. In our early years, we had significant philanthropic support which enabled us to offer visits and professional development below the actual cost to our schools. In light of the current budget climate, we have had to raise prices to cover the staff costs of our offerings. We still have several free options, as it is important to us that all are able to learn with and from High Tech High.
High Tech High offers several options for learning more about our schools and practices:
-
One-hour student led tour of one of our schools
Tours require a reservation and run each school day at 9:30am. At the conclusion of the tour, people are welcome to observe classes as a self guided tour. There is no charge for a short student led tour. For this option please continue below to schedule a visit.
-
Extended Tour
Extended tours are intended for groups who would like an in-depth introduction to HTH but are unable to attend a residency or institute. Extended tours are customized and can include: a student-led tour of the schools, meeting with HTH leadership, and a lunch panel with teachers or students. The fee for this option is $200 per person. Extended tours are available on most days that school is in session. Please continue below to schedule an extended tour. Extended Tours are offered on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays.
-
Customized Residencies
Starting in 2011, HTH is offering multi-day customized residencies for groups who cannot attend the regularly offered residences/institutes offered throughout the year. In addition to the activities offered during an extended tour, participants engage in interactive workshops, observe classrooms and meet in teams to plan how they will put to practice new ideas at their school sites. The goal for these residencies is for participants to leave with tools and strategies to enhance project based learning and the adult learning culture of their school sites. Meals are provided. The fee for this option is $350 per person per day. We must have at least 10 participants and a minimum two-day commitment to offer this type of residency.Customized Residencies are offered on Thursdays and Fridays.
