With over a decade of teaching experience, Andrea has had the privilege of working with students in a variety of roles. Her journey in education began in Raleigh, NC, where she developed a passion for project-based learning. After moving to San Diego, she taught first grade at High Tech Elementary and later transitioned to the role of Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP) Curriculum Designer. In this role, she create curriculum aimed at supporting students with both academic reinforcement and enrichment during the after-school program.

Outside of HTH, she serves as the Co-Owner and Education Director of Prep Academy Tutors, where she connects families with teachers who provide in-home academic support tailored to each student’s unique needs.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, being out in nature, and baking.
