{"id":11190,"date":"2021-10-05T21:16:32","date_gmt":"2021-10-05T21:16:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.hightechhigh.org\/hthi\/sports_info\/girls-volleyball-4\/"},"modified":"2021-10-05T21:16:32","modified_gmt":"2021-10-05T21:16:32","slug":"girls-volleyball-4","status":"publish","type":"sports_info","link":"https:\/\/www.hightechhigh.org\/hthi\/sports_info\/girls-volleyball-4\/","title":{"rendered":"Girls Volleyball"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><b>HTHM Girls Volleyball<\/b><\/div>\n<div>Another new coach that we are\u00a0excited about is Lenae Ploscynski!!\u00a0 Lenae Ploscynski will be leading the program and will be running the HTHMesa Varsity team.\u00a0 We have a few assistants that will step in and support our teams, both JV and Varsity.\u00a0 However, we are still looking for a JV head coach.\u00a0 Please let Coach O\u2019Kelley know if you have any connections or someone in mind that would like to support our program.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><b>TRYOUTS<\/b>\u00a0for the JV and Varsity teams will be held Monday-Tuesday-Weds-Thursday August 9-12, 3:45-5:45 in the HTHM gym. Please wear workout clothes, tennis shoes and bring knee pads and water.\u00a0 You must receive a separate email clearing you for tryouts.\u00a0 If you have not received this email as of the day of tryouts you will need to log on and update your sports physical signed by a Physician or complete all signatures.\u00a0 None of our students will be able to participate in HTHMAthletics without a completed profile and an updated sports physical for the 21-22 school year.\u00a0 We will host another practice on Saturday August 14th from 9-11am.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><b>PRACTICES<\/b>\u00a0will continue 345-545 M-Th until school starts.\u00a0 Once school starts dates are subject to change due to games and school events. You will receive a full schedule as soon as teams are confirmed.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><b>GAMES<\/b>\u00a0There will be at least 8 games, starting Sept 21, with extra scrimmages possible and games, TBD.\u00a0 HTHMesa Volleyball plays their home games in the HTHMesa Thunderdome and plays their away games in different areas of San Diego County.\u00a0 We will support and help to get our student-athletes to and from away matches.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><b>TEAM\/PARENT GET TOGETHER<\/b>\u00a0On Thursday August 12 after practice, there will be a pizza party at the HTHMesa gym for the players and parents to connect, discuss carpooling, and get questions answered. Pizza will be provided; feel free to bring side dishes and drinks to share.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><b>TEAM BONDING<\/b>\u00a0We have been invited to attend a women\u2019s volleyball home game at USD this fall, on a date to be determined, for FREE! More info to come on this exciting opportunity to see indoor competition in action!<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><b>TEAM PARENT<\/b>\u00a0will be Susan Wiczynski,\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:susanwiczynski@yahoo.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">susanwiczynski@yahoo.com<\/a>, 619-933-9883.
