My name is Genevieve Dekervor. I am looking forward to teaching 10th grade Chemistry at HTHNC this Fall! Both my love for science and art developed as a student at HTH. I hope that as a teacher I can also support students in making their own epiphanies and connections between science and their personal interests. After graduating from high school, I studied developmental biology and Spanish at Bowdoin College. I then moved to Valparaiso, Chile where I researched frog metamorphosis. I became involved in filmmaking projects which sparked my interest in exploring the chemistry of photographic printmaking techniques. Outside of the classroom, I volunteer at SoCal Supermoto as a mechanic and am learning to race motorcycles on track. I am looking forward to embarking on this year of learning together.
