Nicole is elated to continue supporting students at HTe and HTm as an EL Teacher and Coordinator. She was born in Manhattan, New York, but raised in New Jersey. She completed a BA in Liberal Studies from Florida International University and a MS in Education from St. Thomas University in Miami, Florida. She has been teaching for 15 years. During the 6 years of teaching in Las Vegas, she had the opportunity to train with some of the Kennedy Center Teaching Artists, on the implementation of arts integration for her classroom. Ms. Núñez holds credentials in Spanish, and Multiple Subjects with a bilingual authorization. Mentoring future educators throughout most of her career has been a great passion of hers. Most recently, she became a credentialing instructor and induction coach at the HTH Graduate School of Education. She is currently pursuing her TESOL Certification (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) at the University of California San Diego.
