Hola! I am so excited to continue supporting our students at HTe and HTm as an Emergent Multilingual Learner Coordinator. I was born in Manhattan, New York, but I was raised mostly in New Jersey. I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from Florida International University and a Master if Science in Education from St. Thomas University in Miami. I have been teaching for 16 years. Before moving to sunny San Diego two years ago, I previously taught Kindergarten, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade in Florida and Nevada. I’m credentialed in single subject Spanish, and multiple subjects with a bilingual authorization. I also have my TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) Certification from the University of California San Diego Extension. I love living in San Diego because of our wonderful weather! When I am not supporting our students, I enjoy watching period series and films, going to Padres games, visiting the San Diego Zoo, reading books in Spanish, practicing pilates, and spending time with my family.
