Raised in San Diego, Marco is so grateful to be returning to the High Tech Middle Chula Vista campus as a Grade 6 Math/ Science Teacher. He came to HTMCV in 2018 as an Academic Coach. Since then, he has served diverse student populations and heterogeneous classrooms all across San Diego County ranging from Grade 1 to Grade 8. He attended the University of California, Los Angeles, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics. Recently, he earned a Master of Education degree in Teaching and Learning from the High Tech High Graduate School of Education.

During the summer, Marco is as a Grade 2 and 3 Assistant Teacher with Horizons at Francis Parker. In teacher professional development, he has served as a Project-Based Learning Facilitator for Deeper Learning China and High Tech High, as well as a Mathematics Facilitator for UC San Diego’s Math Project.
