Hello, everybody! My name is John Renna, and this is my 20th year teaching. I’m excited to join the HTH staff, and come with experience from working in many different types of schools. In New York, where I lived for the first 37 years of my life, I spent nine of those years working in a Special Acts school, and during that time, I went from being a certified high school English teacher so a special education teacher. Once moving out to California, I remained an education specialist, working with many amazing students along the way.

In my free time, I enjoy SCUBA diving, biking, swimming and hiking. I have hiked to the geographical high point in 42 out of the 50 states, though I don’t think I’ll be hiking the remaining 8! I edit and post videos of all subjects, including my most recent diving excursion, and in the rare free time that I have, I am a piano instructor and teach people of all ages how to play pop/rock.
