Meg graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and Education from Colby College, in Maine. After college, she moved to Boston, where she completed her Master’s in Effective Teaching. She spent two years teaching second grade at Match Community Day Charter Public School before returning to sunny California! Meg began at Explorer in 2018, and has taught second, third, and fourth grade at the school. Meg is dual-credentialed as a classroom teacher and education specialist. In addition to her work with students, Meg is passionate about teaching coaching and development. Meg coaches teachers through various student teaching programs, mentorship opportunities, and as an Induction Leader. When not at school, you can find Meg doing something active outside (hiking, biking, running, playing soccer, or swimming at the beach), reading, traveling, or spending time with her family and friends.
