Hello! I grew up in Tennessee and ran as far away as I reasonably could for college in Washington, DC, at American University. After finishing my BS in Mathematics I worked in insurance for a number of years which bounced me through Georgia and then to San Diego. I left to art school in pursuit of greener pastures, and after getting a BA in Media Arts & Animation from the Art Institute I spent several years in the SF Bay area working in mobile games. I have enjoyed so much of the world, and now I give back to it – by helping young people at HTH Mesa be the best adults they can be and (hopefully) see that math isn’t as scary as they might think. In my free time I enjoy life as a long distance backpacker (AT ’16, PCT ’21, CDT ??), an board game enthusiast, and a half-decent baker.
