Hi, Im Priscilla Vega and I’m very excited to be joining HTH’s Central Management Team as a Human Resource Coordinator. I started working with High Tech Elementary North Country in September 2021 for about a year and half and grew to love the community and organization.
I was raised and grew up in a small town called El Centro. Once I finished High School, I moved and lived in Los Angeles for 6 years and studied at California State University of Northridge. I received both my B.A. in Liberal Studies and M.A in Educational Psychology with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education. While studying full time, I worked for 3 years as an Executive Assistant for the Superintendents of a Charter Organization in Los Angeles, Partnerships to Uplift Communities. I moved to San Diego in December of 2019 and became a Preschool Director in 2020. Although I enjoyed and loved working with children, I felt that I wanted to do something much bigger working with people, more internal within an organization. During COVID, I took the time to work on changing my career path to something much more grandeur. I began my path towards Human Resources. I’m passionate about making a huge impact in helping the people across the organization, making improvements, and growing as a leader. Exploring and studying HR not only has allowed me to grow my professional path but also has opened my eyes on how to create stronger and more meaningful relationships in my personal life. The human Resource world touches every aspect of the business and aids you to expand your analytical mindset to the smallest detail. If I can play one small part in helping someone or an organization where they can thrive, add value and be valued, then I’ve added something to this world we live in.
In my free time when I’m not working, I like to workout at the gym, do HIIT workouts, watch movies, read books, go hiking, play beach volleyball, hangout with friends and family, travel, and visit new coffee shops or restaurants. I’m a Disney lover, a huge Star Wars and Marvels fan.
