My name is Bailey Kleis and I am so excited to join the HTe team in grade five! I grew up in a rural town in Missouri, and now reside in San Diego with my one-eyed cats, George and Toby. I earned my Associates of Arts in Teaching in 2018, followed by a Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Special Education in 2020. This past May, I earned my Master’s of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction. I believe in continuous growth and development as an educator. My philosophy of education is rooted in the belief that all children are unique and deserve a stimulating and inclusive educational environment. As a teacher, I aim to create a safe space for students to grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially, promoting their overall growth.
Apart from teaching, I have a passion for making a difference in the world through education. In 2014, I went on a mission trip to Borel, Haiti, which opened my eyes to the power of education in transforming lives. This experience further fueled my dedication to creating meaningful educational experiences for students. Aside from teaching, I love to be outside and enjoy swimming competitively, although I do enjoy cozy nights inside watching movies.
