When Starry was four, she played a cow in a production of “Farmer Duck” and fell in love with theater forever. She holds a bachelor’s degree in theater from Skidmore College and a master’s degree in elementary education from the University of New Haven. After graduating, Starry spent a year touring the U.S. and Canada with the Missoula Children’s Theater. In 2015, Starry founded Imaginary Theater Company, a children’s theater in New Haven, CT whose mission is to produce original plays that empower children to be the heroes of their own stories. When she isn’t teaching, Starry can be found doing yoga and writing new plays.
