Hi there! My name is Bri and I am passionate educator of young learners. My aim is to create a safe and equitable learning environment that allows all students to show up as their authentic selves. In our classroom we honor empathy, diversity, inclusion, collaboration, authenticity and connection. I believe all my students voices matter and that each learner brings their own uniqueness and value that makes our community thrive. Together we are risk-takers, connection builders, innovative thinkers and above all empathetic, kind human beings.
My teaching journey officially began after graduating from Hope College in Holland, Michigan with my Bachelors of Arts in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education and an endorsement in teaching English as a Second Language. Since graduating I have taught in various educational positions in K-12 schools including teaching English as a Second Language through the Fulbright program in both the Czech Republic and in Thailand. In 2022 I moved to San Diego and became a member of the High Tech Mesa family! I feel very grateful to be a part of such a caring, inclusive and dedicated community.
When I am not teaching I enjoy gardening, camping and going on road trip adventures with my partner and our dog.
