Hi! I’m excited to settle into my second year at High Tech High and see my students graduate from 12th grade (woohoo)! While I’m originally from the LA area, I taught as a middle school special education teacher in Las Vegas for a couple of years with Teach for America in 2018, then moved to San Diego in 2020. Having graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies, I also spent my time in Vegas earning a master’s degree in Special Education. When I moved to San Diego, I started pursuing a Master of Divinity degree, while working at an architecture firm as an admin assistant. However, life took a turn, and soon I found myself taking a leave of absence from my M.Div. degree to pursue my own journey of emotional healing. In time, I found myself back in the education field, hoping to bring my different backgrounds and experiences with me to High Tech High! I’m passionate about learning from others and gaining new perspectives, spending time with loved ones, singing/music, being outdoors, learning how to rock climb and sew, and finding ways to stay connected to my authentic self and help others do the same.
