Hello! I was born and raised in Ohio but have been living in San Diego for 9 years now. I graduated from Webb Institute with a degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, then moved around to coastal cities for work. I was an engineer and project manager for almost 15 years. I have experience in shipbuilding, project planning, and several engineering disciplines. I made the switch from engineering to teaching through High Tech High’s San Diego Teacher Residency before joining HTHCV’s 9th grade Physics team. In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my cats, hiking with my husband, and indulging in my hobbies like books, D&D, music, archery, and embroidery. I also love doing deep dive research on historical fashion and trying to make replicas of old outfit designs.
