Hey Yall! I am so excited to join you all this year as your 11th grade Humanities teacher! I was born and raised in Iowa before moving to Chicago to get my bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts from Loyola University of Chicago. I spent 10 plus years working in professional theatre as a lighting/sound designer before become a theatre educator. After a few years of training the future theatre artists of Chicago, I got my masters in education with a focus on History at Roosevelt University. After too many winters, I moved out to San Diego last summer and have been enjoying it ever since!

While not at school, you can find me on at your local park, hiking trail or movie theatre! I love reading, playing video games, trying to cook new foods, and always finding new ways to be a life long learner! I can’t wait to get into the classroom with yall and discover the world together.
