Hello People! I was raised in Washington state in the temperate rainforests of the Pacific Northwest. My love of science grew there and resulted in my earning an undergraduate degree in Cellular Biology from Western Washington University and later working at the University of Washington conducting research in their immunology department. I earned a master’s degree in Teaching from The Evergreen State College (go geoducks!) and started teaching high school science in Kent, Washington. Toward the end of my time in Kent I earned another master’s degree in Education, one that focused on organizational leadership and supporting English language learners. My family then moved to Irvine, California and I discovered a great passion for teaching environmental science. We then moved on to Tucson, Arizona, where I shifted to teaching middle school mathematics. I am a new addition to the HTH family and am excited to be here teaching both math and science in grade 8. I love spending time with my family, spending time outdoors, and spending time doing all sorts of arts and crafts.
