Tess was born and raised in Los Angeles County, where she attended K–12 before migrating south to San Diego for college. She graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University with a B.A. in Sociology and recently earned her Master’s in Education. Tess loves bringing her learning into the classroom, with middle school being her favorite age group to teach.
She is especially excited to welcome a new group of sixth graders this year and looks forward to continuing to grow in her teaching practice—particularly in the area of deeper learning.

Tess’s passions include spending time with family, celebrating women in baseball, creating and making things, and supporting wetland conservation. She was recently married and is excited for this next chapter both personally and professionally.
