A lot of people ask why my parents would name me Guy, and the truth is that they didn’t have much of a choice. My grandpa is Guy, my dad is Guy, I’m Guy, and, my son is named Guy.
I graduated from Cal State Channel Islands in 2009 with a bachelors in English. Quickly after graduating, I took off for South Korea where I taught English as a Second Language (ESL) for a year. Once back, I taught ESL for another 3 years in Santa Barbara, CA. In 2016, I married my wife and we moved south to San Diego where I received my teaching credential from SDSU in 2018. That same year I became a 6th grade Humanities teacher at High Tech Middle North County and I’ve been here ever since!
My lovely wife and I have three adorable kids. When not teaching, you can find me with my fam bam, romping around California. Here is a list of passions/topics that will always get me talking and listening. Feel free to come on by with a cup of coffee and have a conversation!
