Felicia was born and raised in San Diego and proudly celebrates her deep Puerto Rican roots. Although she always knew education would be part of her journey, she spent 10 years working in retail before graduating from San Diego State University in 2019 with a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, focusing on Education, Communication, and Psychology. After graduating, she worked as an academic coach at Helix and managed a Starbucks to support herself along the way.

Felicia joined the High Tech High community in 2022 at High Tech High Chula Vista and transitioned to High Tech High Media Arts in 2023. In 2024, she earned her M.Ed. in Teaching and Learning from the High Tech High Graduate School of Education. She is deeply passionate about culture, equity, and collaboration. Known as a “warm demander,” Felicia challenges her students through productive struggle and is committed to cultivating a safe, supportive learning environment built on strong relationships and community.

In her free time, Felicia enjoys exploring new restaurants, listening to music and audiobooks, laughing with friends, and spending time at the beach.
