Hi everyone! My name is Mudita Tiwary, and I was born and raised in India(Bharat). In 1999, I moved to San Diego after getting married. My husband has been an engineer at Qualcomm for the past 26 years, and now, our eldest daughter has proudly joined him there as an engineer after graduating from Virginia Tech. My younger daughter is currently pursuing her degree at UC Berkeley.
In India(Bharat) , I taught High School Computer Science for a few years before relocating to San Diego, where my teaching journey resumed in 2013. I hold a B.S. in Zoology and earned my MBA in 2008. I have a passion to learn languages. I can speak three languages, Hindi, English, Angika( Regional dialect of my hometown). I also had the privilege of working as a part-time Linguistics Professor at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) in the Asian and Asian American Studies Department for nearly two years. It was there that I deepened my passion for teaching and language. Prior to joining HTH I have taught in SDUSD and PUSD.
Beyond formal teaching, I run an after-school program to teach Hindi to the children in my community, keeping our language and culture alive. In my free time, I enjoy going on hikes with my family, cooking and our puppy, Sage.
