Ms. Beth was born and raised in San Diego, CA. Fueled by her love for working with children, she chose to learn more about teaching and critical race theory in K-12 educational settings. She attended the University of California, Riverside where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies with a minor in Education. She is currently pursuing her Master of Education in Teaching and Learning through the HTH Graduate School of Education’s San Diego Teacher Residency. She became a part of HTe’s community in the 2021-22 school year as an academic coach and 1:1 instructional aide in second grade. Then returned in the 2022-23 school year as a resident teacher in third and first grade. This year, she is VERY (!!!) excited and honored to join HTe as a second-grade teacher. ◡̈
She is passionate about building a culturally-responsive classroom, positive relations with her students, and fostering a love for learning within them. She enjoys reading, building Lego sets, and assisting her partner as a wedding videographer. She, also, enjoys collecting mugs and cups from various places she’s traveled to.
