Hello everyone! I’m Amara Juarez but you can call me Ms. Amara! I was born in Roswell, New Mexico but raised in Bakersfield, California. I earned my associate’s degree at my local community college, Bakersfield College then decided to transfer to Cal State San Marcos. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies with a focus on the Arts. After graduating, I continued my education at Cal State San Marcos as a credential student, I was part of the CREATE Teaching Residency. I was able to complete a full year student teaching as a teacher resident at HTeNC in a 1st grade classroom. My student teaching experience led me to want to continue to be part of the HTH community and apply to open positions for the 25/26 school year. I’m now happy to announce I will be HTeNC K-5 Visual Arts teacher. Currently, I live in East County San Diego and on my free time I enjoy working out, running, bike riding, hiking, padre games and of course spending time at the beach!
