Emily is excited to join the High Tech Elementary North County community as an Education Specialist for the 2025–2026 school year. She grew up in Maryland and holds a bachelor’s degree in Music Education and a master’s degree in Exceptional Children and Youth from the University of Delaware. For the past five years, she has taught Early Childhood Special Education in Maryland, where she developed a strong passion for inclusive education and supporting the diverse needs of young learners. Emily brings communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills that support strong relationships and effective teamwork across diverse environments. She values creating inclusive, student-centered spaces where every child feels supported and empowered to grow. Having recently moved to San Diego, she is looking forward to building new connections and contributing to a vibrant and collaborative school community. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys reading, walking, swimming, exploring her new home, and spending time with her cat Betty.
