Hello! I was born and raised in the sunny coastal area of Carlsbad, California. I have always had a curiosity to learn new things and challenge myself in various aspects of my life. After attending the Carlsbad Unified School District through high school, I then pursued an Associate Degree from MiraCosta Community College in Liberal Arts with an emphasis in Mathematics and Science. I went on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree from California State University of San Marcos in Mass Media Communication in 2012. After graduating I worked for a company called Legend3D, as a production assistant. This company converted full length Blockbuster films into 3D films. Pretty cool work! After receiving experience in this field for a few years, I decided that I wanted to follow my true passion, which was teaching and then attend Cal-State San Marcos for my California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential in 2014. Since receiving my credential I have worked in various School districts such as Oceanside Unified, Encinitas Union, as well as Fallbrook Union Elementary school district in many different positions. I have been a reading/math Intervention Teacher, General Education Teacher, Social Emotional Learning Teacher, Garden Science Teacher, as well as an Art Teacher. I truly love what I do and couldn’t imagine doing anything else. In my free time you will find me surfing, doing yoga, pulling apart/building classic cars, reading, writing, running, and relaxing with family on the weekends. I am so excited to join the HTH family and look forward to continuing to foster learning and creativity in all my students.
