Hello! I am originally from the East Coast, but moved to the South Bay to be closer to my husband’s family in 2019. I grew up in Virginia and attended the College of William and Mary. Afterwards, I earned a Ph.D. in Music History at The Graduate Center, CUNY and have taught a range of music and writing intensive courses at Baruch College, Brooklyn College, Rutgers University, and others. At the Honors College at Rutgers, I was an instructor with multidisciplinary project-based course where the students were challenged to be change makers. The HTH family fits me as an educator, because I can get our students out into the community, support them in their writing goals, and challenge myself to develop and explore new areas of learning.

Outside of school, I love to be with my family and friends, explore museums, go to baseball games, garden, and play music.
