I LOVE LA! Mr. D was born and raised in the busy city of Los Angeles. Raised by his grandmother, Mr. D fell in love with Al Green, dancing and cooking at a young age. Throughout his K-12 experience, Mr. D favored education and leadership.

After graduating from UC Merced in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Sociology, he served with AmeriCorps as a Literacy Coach for 2 years before making the decision to move to San Diego to pursue a career working with students and adults diagnosed with autism. He began working at High Tech Elementary through a third-party company supporting students one on one with academic and behavioral needs before becoming an Academic Coach at High Tech Middle Media Arts. Currently, he is pursuing a double credential and a Master’s in Education.

When he is not lesson planning or supporting student success, he enjoys traveling, cooking, trying new foods, and spending time with family and friends. He also enjoys binging shows and watching thriller movies!
