Hello! Here’s all you need to know about me. I just had a student this past year, whose father I had as a student at HTM many moons ago! That means I’m old. I helped open up High Tech Middle in 2003, so this is my 22nd year in the organization. I’ve bounced around but have settled at HTMMA for the past 5 years. I started my career as a Sportscaster, retiring after 15 years, and I’ve been a teacher ever since. I got my teaching credential at SDSU but I have a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from UCSB, with a minor in mathematics. I’ve been married for 28 years to my wife Kira. Both of my kids started at HTH explorer and have gone through the system all the way through. My daughter Courtney is 22. She went to HTHI and graduated from University of Washington this past spring. She is now a landscape architect at OJB in Solana Beach. My son Cooper is 18. He went to HTH and is headed to the University of Colorado this year. My passions outside teaching are…in order: my family, the Padres, pickleball and golf.
