Assessment can be a powerful tool for teachers, students and families to gain a better understanding of a student and their work. We will delve deeper into assessment that is student centered, meaning students are given the voice to self assess and peer assess, and have authentic dialogue with their teacher to define together strengths, areas of growth and next steps. In addition, we will explore the ways in which we collect immediate and valuable data about students that informs and influences how we teach, as well as where and what we review, readjust, and reteach.
