I was born in Santiago, Dominican Republic and raised in New York. In 1997 I landed in California via the United States Marine Corps. I later received my Bachelors Degree in Science Kinesiology from San Diego State University. As a Sports Performance Specialist and coach for more than 15 years, I have had the privilege of working and collaborating in diverse, multicultural, and inclusive environments. Recently, as the Assistant Coordinator of Expanded Learning at HTeCV, I had the pleasure of working together with students, families, teachers, administrators, and staff, in supporting students in academic, enrichment activities, and creating fun recreational experiences. This will be my 4th year working in the HTeCV community and the parent of two amazing boys that are HTHCV students. One who was part of the graduating class of 2025 and is studying at SDSU, and the other who will be a junior this year. I am passionate about teaching teamwork, respect, perseverance, and empathy while celebrating the diverse strengths that each student brings to the community. My goal as a community at HTeCV is to ensure that all students feel confident participating, challenged to grow, and connected to their peers while developing healthy habits that support lifelong wellness. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family in the mountains and beach, playing with my Australian Shepard ‘Marlo’, watching science fiction and drama movies, strength training at the gym, looking for healthy restaurants, and always finding way to grow as person and educator.
