Hello! I was born in the San Fernando Valley and have been in San Diego for 29 years. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. After graduation, I found my passion for education drawing me in another direction. I turned to LAUSD, where I earned my teaching credential through their intern program. From 1994-2005, I worked as an elementary teacher K-3 in LA and then Oceanside. I then spent 18 years, as a parent, volunteering in many school positions while raising my children. In 2023, I chose to reenter the world of education as an Academic Coach at High Tech High, and a new passion was born. In my free time I love to be with my family, spend time with my dogs, and help out with the swim team. Taking pictures, the outdoors, beach, camping and hiking are all things I enjoy! I am always up for a new experience or adventure learning alongside others.
