Welcome to my introduction page!

Rooted in my Colombian and American upbringing and identity, I have been blessed living the best of both worlds. I am a passionate lifelong learner with great pride in my multicultural and professional backgrounds. My faith is an integral part of my life and development as I strive to make each day count and serve our community.

My personal hobbies and passions include humor, movies, music, pets, camping, travel and dancing. I have been part of my folkloric dance group for over 25 years. I love spending time with my family and friends.

My educational and professional journeys have also been diverse and rewarding. I earned my B.A. in International Business (emphasis in Spanish and Latin American Studies) from San Diego State University. My experiences range working in the corporate world allowing me to fulfill my professional goals and discover exciting horizons. Once I decided to enter into education, I received a Masters in Education (emphasis in Cross Cultural Studies) from National University. Some of my experiences teaching in Humanities include Spanish, U.S. History, AP World History, Civics, Economics, Government, and Design Thinking.

Of my many mantras, I am a firm believer that time is a precious gift and it must be acknowledged everyday. Time can be interpreted as limited and eluding or untapped potential and exciting. I believe in the latter. Carpe diem.
