Hi Everyone!

I’m brand new to San Diego and so happy to have arrived here at High Tech High as an Education Specialist. I’m originally from England and hope to keep my English accent while in California. In the United Kingdom, I graduated with my Bachelors degree from Nottingham Trent University. After college I worked as a youth worker, got certified in TESOL and travelled to South America teaching English. In 2009 I moved to the United States, worked in Independent schools and pursued my Masters Degree in Special Education and Childhood Education from Manhattanville College, New York

I’ve taught in charter, public and independent schools in several different roles. My focus and background as an Education Specialist for the last thirteen years has been in literacy and the humanities, mostly because I love to read and help others find a love of adventure through books. My most recent adventure is moving across the country to San Diego from Connecticut, after living there for the last fifteen years.

I love reading, writing poetry, hiking, road trips, the beach and spending time with my loved ones including my two cats, Tango and Cash who also travelled across the country with me.
