Hello 🙂 I was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico and raised in Fresno, California. As soon as I graduated high school, I moved up north where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior from UC Davis. At UCD, I discovered my passion for serving others, equitable education, community, and collaborating with both adults and students. After graduating, I worked as a long-term substitute teacher and worked on a research project as an ally for latino migrant farm-workers. In 2017, I moved to San Diego in for graduate school at SDSU where I earned my Masters degree in counseling in 2019 and my Ed.S in School Psychology in 2021. I have been a school psychologist at Mesa Village since 2021 and I am eternally grateful to be on such a loving and devoted team. In my free time, I love to play a variety of musical instruments, swim in the ocean, read on my hammock, dance, run, strength train, and practice yoga. I am also a big fan of camping, backpacking, hiking, and live music.
