Ms. Gaby was raised in San Diego but has spent the last few years earning her Master’s in Natural Science Education through the University of Wyoming. She focused on Place-based Education, spending her first year of grad school in the foothills of Grand Teton National Park. During undergrad at Whitman College, she studied Biochemistry, Biophysics, and Molecular Biology, and she also swam on the varsity team. At HTMNC, Gaby is a floating substitute and helps out where she’s needed around campus.
Now, Ms. Gaby is hoping to earn her CA teaching credential and jump into the classroom as much as possible. She really enjoys helping students work through tough questions by exploring different perspectives and coming up with creative solutions. Some of Ms. Gaby’s favorite out-of-school activities are baking sourdough, gardening, trail running with her coonhound Mowgli, and adventuring into the backcountry via hiking boots, skis, or a sea kayak.
