What if school was about discovering your gifts, what you love to do, and what the world needs?  What if it was a place where you learned about how to make a meaningful contribution to others and the planet? Ever thought: “Hm, someone should do something about that. Wait! I’m someone!”

The world is growing in volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity and it needs your genius desperately. We need Entrepreneurs, Producers, Innovators & Change Makers (EPIC), people who desire to make other people’s lives better! We strive to do just that through powerful projects and deeper learning experiences.

I am Kaleb Rashad and this is what wakes me up early in the morning and keeps me up at night. Born in Gainesville, Florida (Home of the Fightin’ Gators), I came to San Diego as a US Marine before attending a small Christian college, Azusa Pacific University. I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Human Development, two Master’s Degrees, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership (this fall, 2016) at APU. I am a CHEERLEADER for all things related to project-based learning and human-centered design. When you see me around campus, stop and say hello! I would love to meet you and get to know your story.

My wife Cori and I have two boys, Thomas (11) and Noah (8), two cats (Sophie and Jack), and a cute little shih tzu (Ozzie). I also have three adult children, Ronnie, Raikwan, and Jada.

We are thrilled to have you with us! We look forward to seeing what you will create at High Tech High.
