Hi! My name is Emma, and I am originally from Bishop, California. I moved to San Diego in 2019 to pursue my undergraduate degree in Child Development, Spanish, and Psychology at Point Loma Nazarene University. In 2023, I moved to North Carolina to complete my Doctorate in Occupational Therapy at Duke School of Medicine. My experience includes teaching preschool for several years, working as a postpartum doula, and completing my doctoral capstone on emergent literacy program development.

My therapeutic approach is centered around regulation, belonging, and meaningful play as foundations for learning. I love incorporating creative and evidence-based approaches in therapy, such as art, music, dance, therapeutic movement, and sensory play, to support each child’s unique strengths and school skills. A few of my own favorite occupations include reading with my book club, cycling, creating art, and spending time by the ocean.
