Hello! Originally from the east coast, my experiences in two very different K-12 schools led me to rethink what education can look like, and for whom. While earning my BA at the University of Chicago, I learned about High Tech High through a documentary about the school, and I couldn’t stop thinking about the place where project-based learning grounded in social-emotional learning, equity, and justice so deeply reflected my beliefs. After graduating, I moved to San Diego to pursue my master’s at the High Tech High Graduate School of Education and become part of that vision. I believe my classroom can and should be a space where students develop cognitive skills alongside curiosity, resilience, empathy, and a commitment to leave the world better than they found it. In my free time, I love to read, explore bookstores & coffee shops, hike, travel, and cook and bake for my friends and family.
