Hello and welcome!

I am so excited to start the upcoming school year and look forward to building a fun, productive learning community with all of you.

Originally from Washington state, I earned my Bachelor’s degree at Central Washington University before completing my Master’s at Walden University. I’ve been a Special Education teacher for over 20 years, working in both traditional brick-and-mortar classrooms and online settings. Teaching is my true passion, and I love helping every student find the ways they learn best.

About three and a half years ago, I made the move to sunny San Diego, and I’ve been loving life here ever since. When I’m not in the classroom, you can usually find me hanging out with my dog, spending quality time with an amazing group of friends, checking out live music, or catching local skateboarding events.

I can’t wait to get to know everyone and make this a fantastic year together!
