Ailinne (/Ī-lēn/) was born in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, and moved to San Diego when she was six years old. She graduated from San Diego State University with a bachelor’s degree in Communication and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Education through the High Tech High Graduate School of Education. She found her passion for working with students by teaching recreational gymnastics at the YMCA and later through her time as a first grade Academic Coach at HTe (2020-2022). Ailinne has been fortunate to continue her involvement with the HTe community by completing her student teaching residency here and having the honor of joining the first grade team this upcoming 2023-2024 school year!
Ailinne is excited to build new relationships with her students and families. She hopes to help create a classroom environment that is safe and welcoming; where students can show up as their full, authentic selves and foster their love for learning. Ailinne enjoys reading, crocheting, going to baseball games, and spending time with her friends and her dog, Ollie.
