Virtual Tour
Are you an educator seeking to learn about High Tech High from the comfort of your home or office? On the first Wednesday of every month, join us online for an interactive presentation about HTH Design Principles, implementation of PBL model at our schools, and a live Q&A session that highlights the HTH student experience. Register for this free online event at the HTH GSE Events page.
Curated HTH School Visit
Our schools reopened to staff, students and their families in 2021 in the midst of COVID19 pandemic. This Fall 2023, HTH community welcomes visitors! These day-long curated tours will host one small group of 20 educators per day for the wellness of our community. Reserve your space for an in-person tour of our schools, that includes a HTH 101, a student-led tour and/or panel, catered lunch, discussions with teachers and/or school leaders, and/or a project unpacking. This in-person experience will culminate with discussions that provide an in-depth exploration of the HTH K-12 schools, our project-based learning model, and the HTH student experience.
Prospective Student Admission to HTH
Guardians interested in enrolling their student in HTH can visit the Admissions page. HTH Admissions will host info sessions specifically for prospective HTH families and their students.
PBL Focused Professional Development
Educators from all over the world look to High Tech High as leaders in facilitating the Project-Based Learning model. Since 2001, HTH Graduate School of Education has offered professional development for the implementation of PBL to fuel change for our teachers and those beyond our network of schools. The HTH GSE Professional Learning Team offers a range of experiences to learn about HTH schools and classroom structures. Visit the HTH GSE Events page to join one of our upcoming events individually, or as a team, to design your own PBL project.
PBL Design Camp for Educators
Design Camps are interwoven sessions that develop participants’ skills as Project Based Learning project designers. Each session models structures and strategies to design transformative projects that foster deeper learning. In a small cohort, educators will intimately engage in culturally responsive and equity-focused pedagogical practices that are the foundational to a PBL classroom. Visit the PBL Design Camp website to learn how you can earn Continuous Education Units (CEUs) by completing this multi-session workshop online or in-person.
Experience PBL in Action
PBL in Action is a unique professional development event offered online or in-person. For these dynamic events we are collaborating with other organizations leading the way in equity, STEAM/STEM, literacy, arts integration, and so much more. By co-designing and facilitating with other progressive education leaders, we demonstrate how PBL is not an either/or but an inclusive learning model for all students. In these events we will engage participants to design Project-Based Learning projects that are relevant to student’s lived experience and tap into a variety of modes of expression for education environments that exude creativity, joy and play. To learn more of who we are collaborating with this quarter visit HTH GSE Events page.
Customized PBL Event for Your Team
Collaborate with HTH GSE’s Professional Learning Designer to design a professional development experience with your team’s context at the center. Customized Professional Development is designed and facilitated online or in-person for a minimum group size of 12 participants to provide an interactive and engaging learning experience. Our team collaborates with HTH K-12 staff and students to facilitate presentations or workshops that offer insight into PBL at our schools. Whether you’re seeking a presentation that provides a comprehensive look into PBL Essentials or a hands-on event that promotes the deeper learning competencies, we look forward to working closely with you.
