I am a born-and-raised San Diegan who returned to the land of sunshine and burritos in 2020 after nearly a decade away. After graduating from High Tech High International, I went to Rhodes College, where I majored in political science. From there, I moved to Washington, D.C. to pursue a career on Capitol Hill, which led me to work in election campaign consulting and then public policy research. I came back to the High Tech family in 2022, student teaching at High Tech High Mesa, gaining my Masters of Education from the HTH GSE, and starting my own classroom at High Tech Middle. My educational practice is deeply rooted in the belief that student dignity and student-led learning should be protected and nurtured.

After the school day, I like to go to a yoga class, take a walk, and learn to surf. On most weekends, you can find me and my husband hosting friends for a dinner party or taking our pup, Lilo, on an adventure.
