Anthony Millican is an award-winning school PR professional with more than 20 years of experience in school communications, media/public relations, and grant writing. He served as communications director for High Tech High. Previously, he was communications director at a large local elementary school district. He was a lead grant writer at a high school district during a period the grants team averaged $13 million annually in successful applications. Prior to working in schools, he was a newspaper reporter at the Los Angeles Times, Orlando Sentinel, and San Diego Union-Tribune. He has served on a number of nonprofit boards and community organizations. He is a Chargers fan and a Padres fan (ouch and ouch). He is also a fan of the comedy series Ted Lasso. “I believe in hope.
