Hello! My name is Brittany Rysman (she/her/hers) and I am excited to serve the HTH-PL community as the school psychologist for the 2026-2027 school year! This will be my ninth year working for the High Tech High Organization, and fifteenth year working in education.

I was born and raised in Fort Wayne, IN and moved to San Francisco, CA for graduate school to study School Psychology. After graduating with my Master of Science Degree, I worked in the Bay Area for six years and served multiple elementary and middle schools. Having enough “cold” summers and longing to be in Southern California, I moved to San Diego in 2018 and began my career with High Tech High.

I am passionate about ensuring all students have access to the same opportunities and that their sense of belonging is nourished. I want every student to feel seen, heard, loved, and empowered – this is my goal and commitment to our community. With that in mind, my focus in supporting our students is to discover and utilize their strengths to shape their learning experience. Every human has innate strengths and areas of growth – bringing awareness to this information helps to create more effective and appropriate teaching practices.

I am looking forward to connecting with our students, staff, and families; being a part of and witnessing all of the incredible and beautiful projects our students create; and feeling the energy that everyone brings to our community!
