The path that led me to education came in a very roundabout way. As a little girl, I knew I wanted to be a teacher but decided to take a completely different route. I graduated with my BSEE in Computer Engineering from San Diego State University. For seven years, I programmed hardware and managed our world-wide technical support team. After starting my family as well as my own wedding business, I finally decided that I wanted to pursue what I knew was always in my heart, working with children.

My educational journey started when I had the honor and privilege to become part of Chula Vista’s staff shortly after the school opened in 2011. I completed the HTH Credentialing Program and recently obtained my Masters of Arts in Teacher Leadership. I’ve continued to support our students throughout the years and my love for our community continued.

When I’m not working, I love spending time with my family of 5, gardening, and managing my small succulent business. I am extremely excited to continue to be part of HTeCV as our School Director for the 2024-2025 school year!
