Madison recently moved to San Diego from Des Moines, Iowa, where she was born and raised. In the spring of 2015, Madison received her undergraduate degree in biology from Iowa State University. Upon receiving her degree, she began to work in the field of microbiology and food safety. Although Madison enjoyed working within her field, she was unsatisfied with her career and made the decision to continue her education so that she could become a science teacher. In the fall of 2018, Madison began her career as a 7th grade science teacher while continuing her education for additional endorsements. In the winter of 2022, Madison received her graduate degree in culturally proficient leadership and instruction with a K12 STEM specialist endorsement from Drake University.
In her free time Madison enjoys exploring and staying active. Some of her favorite hobbies are biking, yoga, running, and dancing. In the wintertime she enjoys planning trips to ski with her friends. When it’s time to unwind, Madison loves to read at the beach, snuggle up with her three beautiful cats, or fill her stomach with delicious food from local restaurants. Madison is excited to connect with her students at High Tech Middle Mesa, and she looks forward to growing in our community.
