Rodrick Stovall is originally from Oakland, California, and has been living and teaching in San Diego for the past five years. He holds a B.A. in Ethnic Studies from Cal State East Bay and a Master’s in Education and Curriculum Design from the University of the Pacific. Rodrick is credentialed in both Multiple Subjects and Special Education.
Currently, he teaches 8th grade Humanities at High Tech Middle Media Arts, where he has spent the last five years bringing together project-based learning, social justice, and inclusive teaching practices. He believes in creating classroom spaces where all students feel seen, valued, and empowered to explore real-world issues through meaningful, creative work.
Outside the classroom, Rodrick enjoys doing pilates, playing basketball, traveling, and spending quality time with his loved ones.
