Sharon Mayer is a San Diego native who grew up in Ramona. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies, California Teaching Credential, and Master’s in Educational Technology from San Diego State University.

Sharon has been part of the High Tech High community since 2009, when her twin boys began kindergarten at Explorer Elementary. Over the years, she worked as a substitute teacher, serving on the Parent Association, and taking on leadership roles as Parent Association President at Explorer, HTMMA and founding President at HTHM.

In 2023, Sharon officially joined the High Tech High staff as a member of the college counseling team. She enjoys building relationships with students and families while helping students explore opportunities, prepare for life after graduation, and find a path that reflects their goals and interests.
