Yoli also taught Spanish at High Tech High Chula Vista for 12 years, and also now serves as Internship Coordinator, Instructional Coach and Family and Community Engagement Coordinator. Yoli has also co-taught a few courses relating to the topic of English language development within the Teacher Center.
She is originally from the San Joaquin valley, a small agricultural town called Lodi, and moved to Southern California in 2008. Before arriving to HTHCV, Yoli taught various levels of Spanish for four years at Sacramento Charter High School in Sacramento, CA. She graduated from UC Davis in 2003 with a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Sociology a minor in Chicano/a studies, and a few years later obtaining her Master’s degree in School Leadership through the HTH Graduate School of Education.
